Welcome to KdG Automotive!
KdG Automotive is the Formula Student Team of the Industrial Sciences & Technology-faculty of the Karel de Grote-University College Antwerp.
The team was founded in october 2009. During the academic year 2010-2011 we built our first racecar with the aim to compete in the Formula Student competition. This car is shown in the picture below. For the academic year 2011-2012 we will continue to build on our first design. Our focus lies on optimising the existing design in the most innovative way.
Our very motivated team exists of students coming from various study programs, namely Master students from the Applied Engineering: Electromechanics program as well as from the Applied Engineering: Electronics-ICT program (option Automotive Engineering), Bachelor students from the Vehicle Technologies program and Master students from the European CarEcology program.
Because of the cooperation of students coming from a wide range of disciplines, we are confident to design and build another spectacular racecar to compete in the summer of 2012 in various international events in Germany, United Kingdom and Italy. Finishing in a good position is our only goal!
